Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in IL

Hi, I’m Veronica! As an associate therapist, I’m passionate about supporting individuals and couples as they navigate life's complexities. Life can often feel overwhelming, especially when anxiety, relationship struggles, or questions about your identity are weighing you down. But my approach is more than just talking things through—it’s about creating a genuine, safe space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're working to nurture deeper connections, manage stress, or reconnect with your true self, I’m here to walk alongside you.

I offer online sessions throughout Illinois, available Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

What it’s like to work with me…

I became a therapist because I believe that healing starts with feeling truly seen and understood.

In our sessions, you'll find a space where you can simply be yourself—no judgment, just real, honest conversation. Life is messy, and sometimes you need more than just someone to listen; you need someone who can help you make sense of it all. My goal is to equip you with tools and strategies to navigate life’s ups and downs while staying grounded in proven, research-backed approaches like mindfulness, CBT, ACT, and the Gottman Method. But don’t expect a stiff, clinical vibe—I believe in keeping things real. That might mean a little humor or a pop culture reference here and there, even when we’re diving into the tough stuff.

I work with a diverse range of individuals, including adults and young adults, and couples, including those in the LGBTQ+ community. Together, we’ll address challenges like anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, stress, and identity exploration. We’ll uncover areas for growth, identify obstacles holding you back, and build practical skills to strengthen your relationships and overall well-being. Whether you’re focused on personal growth or strengthening your relationship, I’m here to help you connect with your values, develop the tools you need, and create a meaningful life that feels authentic and intentional.

Background & Experience

  • My path to becoming a therapist began with a deep curiosity about the human experience and a desire to help others navigate life's challenges. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health, private practice, and even a few years at a K-8 school, all of which have shaped my understanding of diverse needs and therapeutic approaches. These experiences have profoundly influenced my approach and solidified my commitment to empowering individuals to heal, grow, and create meaningful change in their lives.

  • I hold a Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Additionally, I have completed Level 1 Gottman Method training, which further enhanced my expertise in couple and relationship therapy.

  • I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) licensed in the state of Illinois.

Outside of Work

When I'm not in session supporting clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter and 2 cats. I love watching baseball and Bravo reality TV, having dance parties in the living room, and trying to hit my goal of reading 50 books in 2025.
