Haydyn Anigian Jernudd,  LCPC

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in IL

Hi, I’m Haydyn! As a licensed counselor, I’m deeply passionate about helping you navigate life’s challenges, overcome obstacles, and unlock your fullest potential. When life feels overwhelming and it seems like the weight is too much to carry alone, therapy offers a lifeline—a space for support, clarity, and guidance to move through tough moments and create lasting change.

I believe in fostering a warm, welcoming environment where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood—without judgment. Whether you're dealing with a specific issue or just need a safe space to explore your thoughts and emotions, I’m here to walk with you on your journey toward healing and growth.

I offer virtual sessions across Illinois on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10am to 5pm, and Fridays from 10am to 2pm.

What it’s like to work with me…

I believe healing happens in the space between reflection and action—where old patterns shift and new possibilities arise.

In our sessions, you can expect a warm, optimistic, and collaborative style. My approach is warm yet direct, personal yet practical—a conversation that leads to deeper self-awareness and lasting change. I aim to help you untangle the stories holding you back, using evidence-based methods like CBT, ACT, EFT, Narrative Therapy, and the Gottman Method. Whether you’re facing anxiety, low mood, imposter syndrome, family conflict, relationship struggles, or a lack of direction, I’m here to help you build clarity, confidence, and a life shaped by intention.

I’ve walked many paths—athlete, consultant, therapist—and each has shaped how I understand resilience, growth, and the pressure to perform. I work with women and couples who feel stuck, lost, or disconnected—whether you're a young professional, college student, athlete, or older adult. From low self-esteem and imposter syndrome to identity confusion and the complexities of infertility, pregnancy, or post-natal issues, I offer support for a wide range of experiences. Together, we’ll embark on a journey of real, lasting transformation, helping you craft a life that feels more purposeful, aligned, and deeply fulfilling.

Background & Experience

  • My path to becoming a therapist began with my own experience navigating mental health challenges as a D1 lacrosse player at Northwestern University. I then worked for several years as a business consultant, focused on team dynamics and leadership development, before I ultimately chose to pursue a career-path that focused on helping individuals reach their fullest potential.

  • I hold a Master’s in Counseling from Northwestern University. In addition to my academic training, I have completed Gottman Method Training, which has further refined my expertise in relationship and couples counseling.

  • I am a National Certified Counselor and hold licensure in Illinois, Colorado, and Texas. In addition to my professional credentials, I have completed Gottman Method certification

Outside of Work

When I'm not in session supporting clients, I enjoy reading (psychological thrillers are my go-to), watching reality tv, and trying new restaurants around the city. I’m also a big fan of lakefront walks where I can find some peace in life’s chaos.
