Amanda Berry, LMFT

Founder & Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in IL

Welcome! I’m Amanda, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and the founder of Revive Therapy. My journey has always been driven by a deep passion for helping others heal, grow, and find empowerment. With a heart rooted in both therapy and entrepreneurship, I built Revive not just as a therapy practice but as a community where clients and therapists alike can thrive. Whether you're seeking individual therapy, couples therapy, or looking for job opportunities, I’m proud to lead a team that is committed to making lasting, meaningful change in people’s lives.

Get to know me:

Creating and running Revive has allowed me to merge two of my greatest passions—helping others and owning a business.

Being a therapist is more than just a profession for me—it's woven into the fabric of who I am. I’ve always been drawn to deep listening, helping others untangle their struggles, and offering new perspectives. Alongside this, I’ve always had a drive to create something meaningful—a space where both clients and therapists can thrive. What began with a passion for helping couples has evolved into supporting women, especially fellow mothers, on their journey to reclaim their power and sense of self. Watching women rediscover their strength and move forward with clarity is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my work.

As a business owner, my role extends beyond therapy. I founded Revive to be a place of healing and growth, not just for clients, but for the incredible therapists I work with. It’s about creating a balance between my professional responsibilities and my life as a mother and partner. While my role as founder and supervisor is fulfilling, it’s the deep connection I’ve built through Revive—helping both women and therapists thrive—that keeps me going. My hope is that every woman who walks through our doors finds a space to reconnect with herself and unapologetically grow into her full potential.

Background & Experience

  • After college, I started my career in digital advertising. While I built incredible relationships, I had zero passion for the work. I knew it wasn’t my long-term path, so I went back to school part-time while working full-time, earning my master’s degree in counseling. I always knew I wanted to run a small business—it runs in my family. My dad owned and operated an architecture firm, and I grew up watching the fulfillment that comes from working for yourself. I feel the same way about my practice—it's my "first baby."

I started the practice right after my maternity leave with my daughter. A few months in, I hired my first employee, and from there, the team grew. I’ve intentionally kept it small, ensuring I can balance my work with being a mom.

  • I hold a Master's degree in Couple & Family Therapy and am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is my primary therapeutic modality. While I am not currently seeing clients, I am the owner and founder of Revive, where I run the practice and support a team of therapists. When I return to seeing clients, I will no longer be working with couples directly. However, my training in relational systems, including my certifications in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1) and Prepare and Enrich Premarital Therapy, continues to inform my holistic approach.

  • I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.

Outside of Work

I love great food and wine, a strong cup of coffee, and true crime podcasts. Traveling with my husband and kids is my favorite way to unwind, and I cherish the moments we spend exploring new places together. When it comes to self-care, I find peace in the small, everyday moments—listening to a podcast while folding laundry, getting lost in a book, brainstorming house projects, or simply savoring a quiet morning before the day begins. Exercise and eating well are also priorities for me, helping me stay grounded in both work and life.
