Chicago is where this practice started.
I opened Revive Relationship Therapy in Lincoln Park and ran it there for years. It grew into a group practice, and that office was home base for a team of clinicians seeing women and couples all over the city. For most of that time I wasn't in the room myself. I was running the practice, hiring and supporting the therapists doing the work, and raising my own kids alongside it.
While there is no longer a physical office in the city, if you're in Lakeview, Logan Square, Andersonville, Old Town, the West Loop, or anywhere else in Chicago, we can meet by video. And if you rather meet in person, the Crystal Lake office is about an hour northwest of the city, at 8600 US Highway 14, Suite 2204.
When online makes more sense.
If you live in the city, you already know what it takes to get somewhere at 6pm on a Tuesday. The Kennedy, the Brown Line, twenty minutes circling for a spot, February. A fifty-minute session can easily cost you two and a half hours, and that math is why a lot of women put off therapy for years. Online takes the commute out of it. Whether you're a working professional closing your laptop for an hour, a mom at home during a nap, or someone who would rather do this from your own couch than a waiting room, meeting by video makes it possible to actually keep the appointment. Online sessions aren't a lesser version of therapy. They're the version that fits the life you're already living.

Before your visit, you may have a few questions. These are some of ones I get most often.

For most of the clients I work with, virtual therapy is just as effective, however, this is something we can talk more about in the free consultation call or initial intake session.
Research also consistently shows online and in-person therapy produce comparable outcomes. What matters far more is the fit between you and your therapist.

If you're traveling outside of Illinois during a session, we'd usually need to reschedule. Licensure is tied to where you are, not where you live. If you're moving out of state, I'll help you find someone licensed where you're going.

Yes! This is really common with a lot of the clients I work with. Some weeks the drive to Crystal Lake is a welcome hour to yourself, and some weeks it's the thing that makes therapy feel impossible. Either way, we’ll make sure you get the support you need. You don't have to choose one format over the other.
