Veronica Cross, AMFT

I’m here to assist you on your path to change and making a better life for yourself. Whatever the reason you are seeking counseling at this time, there is hope, there is healing and you are not alone in this fight. My goal as a therapist is to provide you a safe, empathetic space so that you can feel seen, heard, and empowered to make the changes you seek in your life.

I work with individuals and couples utilizing a mix of therapeutic approaches, primarily Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Gottman Method, Motivational Interviewing and Mindful Self Compassion. My specialties include depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship and familial issues (both family of origin and created families), adjustment and mood disorders, and identity exploration.

I am straightforward and direct when needed, and I will challenge you when necessary to help you accomplish your goals. I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all and I will work with you to determine the best approach for you. I am a big believer in employing tools such as journaling, meditation and mindfulness practices, worksheets, books, and podcasts to aid the therapeutic process and help teach you new coping skills or different ways to relate to the world around you. I

Therapy clients need a safe space to process emotions, traumas, and experiences and it is my goal to help you do this. I also hope to provide a different perspective on your problems or thoughts when necessary, and to show you that there are often many other ways of looking at things. And at the end of it all, I simply enjoy seeing my clients, talking and being with them, and helping them on their journeys.

I am ready to help and I sincerely hope you’ll reach out to get started!
