Depending on your current health insurance provider, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
We are an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Choice plans. This means that these plans will offer coverage for sessions assuming you meet diagnostic criteria. Please call your insurance company (you can just use the number on the back of the card) to verify your exact coverage.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
We accept out-of-network insurance plans as well, so even if you do not have BCBS we can still take your insurance; this process can be discussed more via phone or in person. Whether in or out of network, we will submit claims on your behalf.
We accept cash, check, quickpay, and all major credit cards with the exception of Amex. Payment is collected at the time of service each week.
We require 24 hours notice for a cancelled session. If you are unable to provide notice 24 hours in advance, you will be charged the contract rate of the session (if using insurance) and the full fee if paying our out of pocket fee. We understand there are emergencies and will discuss those on a case by case basis.
