REFORM so that cheating is no longer an option.
Did you recently find out that your partner’s been cheating (or have they found out you have)? Are you experiencing symptoms such as anger, rage, confusion, losing sleep, and feeling lost as far as what to do next? Even if you’re the cheating partner, know that repairing an affair is possible. It makes sense that right now, it doesn’t feel that way.
It’s perfectly normal to be experiencing any of these events right now:
-You have flashbacks or a sense of “reliving” the event over and over in your mind
-You feel sadness, isolation, anxiety, fear of telling any friends and family
-You’re constantly fluctuating between bringing the cheating partner closer to you, and pushing him or her away
-You feel total ambiguity or confusion related to whether you should stay together
-Your world simply feels “rocked”, you can’t get back on track
-You feel shame and guilt (if you are the cheating partner) that you can’t get past
-You notice differences in your appetite and sleep patterns changing
-You’re unable to concentrate on anything
Therapy will help you develop a specific action plan to start to rebuild trust. Statistics show that many couples stay together after infidelity even when no official attempt to repair it has been made. Our goal is to give you the roadmap you need to repair the damage that has been created.
Ultimately, it is possible for your relationship to be better than it ever has been. It is a long road, and the hardest work you may ever do in therapy.
But you don’t have to feel lost anymore. The results will be worth it!
